Paros Agios Spyridonas – Cape Korakia

Departure time from Parikia Bus station 7.30a.m., meeting point Korakia Ag. Ioannis Theologos 8.00a.m. Deparure with boats from Korakia 8.30.
Laying of wreaths at Samina wreck 8.45. Swimming Start, Ag. Spiridon 9:00 a.m.
Swimming Distance: 2 km.

Every September 26th , anniversary of Samina wreck, a memorial service takes place 11a.m. in St. John Theologos chapel, Korakia cape in memory of the victims of the shipwreck that shoked not only the Parian society but the hole of Greece.

In memory of this event we organize a swimming crossing from the islet of Ag. Spyridon to Korakia cape Paros.

A swimming tribute to the victims, rescue workers and all those who helped wreck of the Samina.
The event includes laying of wreaths at the Samina wreck.

Aimed at swimmers with experience in open sea swimming. The presentation of previous open sea swimming experience is required.
Viewers can watch the event on one of the support vessels crossings.
